The primary purpose of the position is to develop and implement local growth strategies for the product, working directly with customers, the country sales organization and the RMD division, to achieve or exceed bookings goals & price expectations.
The position holds the Country Leadership for the product, demonstrates a proactive and positive attitude towards it, and is strongly engaging the sales force and customers in the product.
The position also acts as the primary channel for sales & marketing related product topics between the country organization and the RMD division.
Should have some level of compliance responsibilities by adhering to the company’s Trade Compliance procedures.
-Promote the sale of the product in the country by preparing and implementing growth strategies consistent with country, divisional and European world area strategies
-Coordinate and lead the launch of new products & product updates in the country market place
-Deliver product & application training to customers and sales force, including product-orientated PlantWeb messaging
-Produce on-going analysis and trends for the product business including bookings & sales against budget, product mix, new market penetration, average unit price, discounts, product white space analysis, delivery times etc. and drive corrective actions where applicable
-Assist the sales force in winning orders through joint and solo customer visits, Launch & Learns etc.
-Assist project pursuit by providing input on win strategies, ensuring maximum product content, performing bid pricing analysis etc.
-Develop & maintain evergreen competitor profiles for all local major competitors; giving tactical support to sales in competitive situations & feeding back competitor information to the RMD division
-Develop local product Marcom programs and work with the country and RMD divisional Marcoms managers on their implementation
-Support local exhibitions and Customer events
-Drive generation of QBRs, Application Notes, magazine articles, Lunch & Learn presentation material etc. Ensure the sales force has access to sufficient amounts of up-to-date collateral, sales tools, presentation material etc.
-Review and validate translated sales & marketing material
-Be the in-country “eyes & ears” for the RMD division, feeding back local market trends, new growth opportunities, product extension needs etc. Participate in and support RMD divisional meetings & conference calls
-Follow all guidelines, policies and procedures of Emerson Italy in the process of capturing new projects.
